Ingredients

8-10 servings
  1. 1 1/2 poundsground meat
  2. 1 Tminced garlic
  3. 1 tdry minced onion or onion powder
  4. 1 cBeef broth
  5. 1 (10.5 can)cream of mushroom soup
  6. 1 packageegg noodles
  7. 16 ozcontainer cottage cheese
  8. 1 csour cream
  9. to tasteSalt and pepper
  10. 3 cupsshredded Cheese (I used cheddar)

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350.

  2. 2

    Brown ground meat with garlic and onion.

  3. 3

    While meat cooks, combine broth and soup. Stir into browned, drained meat and let simmer.

  4. 4

    Boil noodles until they are almost done.

  5. 5

    While noodles cook, combine sour cream and cottage cheese. Add drained hot noodles and stir to coat. Add salt and pepper to taste

  6. 6

    Spray 9x13 casserole. Layer half noodles, half meat, half cheese. Repeat.

  7. 7

    Bake 20-30 minutes.

  8. 8

    I didn't have any, but, I'll bet topping this with French fried onions would be delicious....

Honestly, I put my recipes here so that I can easily look them up myself (although some are made often enough that I no longer need the recipe - like the pork chops, my son's favorite). That being said, these are the tried and true dishes I make on a regular basis for my family. But, of course, I'm glad to share...enjoy.
