#Healthy juniors.....rava fry recipes are very common in my part of the world and you can find the same with different vegetables. i personally prepare the rava fry with ridge guard, eggplant, yam and also drumstick, however okra rava fry is my personal favourite recipe. i typically serve it as a side dish to my daily lunch or dinner, but it can also be served as evening snack or can also be party starters. further, i have cut the okra length wise into 2 halves and then coated with rava and spice mix. but it can also be stuffed with same spice mix and then shallow fried.

Ingredients

  1. 10bhindi / okra / lady finger
  2. 1 tspkashmiri red chilli powder / lal mirch powder
  3. 1/2 tspturmeric / haldi
  4. 1/2 tspaamchur / dry mango powder
  5. pinchhing / asafoetida
  6. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  7. 1/2 tspsalt, to taste
  8. 1/2 cuprava / sooji / semolina
  9. 2 tbspoil, for roasting

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, wash the bhindi and wipe off clean, cut the head and tail.further slice them half

  2. 2

    Add in 1 tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp aamchur, pinch of hing, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, ½ tsp salt.

    Also add ½ cup rava and mix well. combine and squeeze all together well and soak for 30 minutes.

    Heat the kadai with 2 tbsp oil.

  5. 5

    Place in bhindi coated with rava. cover and simmer for 5 minutes or till the bhindi gets cooked well.

    Flip over and contine to roast on low flame.

    Cook till the bhindi turns crisp and golden.
