Ingredients

50 servings
  • 10 cupwater
  • 7chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 1/2 tspcrushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tspgarlic paste
  • 1 lbrusset potatoes-peeled &sliced or cubed
  • 1 lbground italian sausage
  • 1diced white onion
  • 1 bunchfresh kale- torn to small pieces
  • 1 cupheavy cream
  • 6 tbsposcar meyer bacon bits

Steps

  1. 1

    in a large stockpot put water, bouillon, salt, red pepper, garlic, and potatoes.

  2. 2

    cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    saute the sausage and onion in a skilled until sausage is brown.

  4. 4

    add sausage to stockpot.

  5. 5

    add torn kale.

  6. 6

    simmer for 20-30 mins or until kale and potatoes are tender.

  7. 7

    add cream and bacon bits.

  8. 8

    simmer for 10 minutes.

  9. 9

    half/half can be substitute for heavy cream.
