Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupsooji (semolina)
  2. 2 tbsp.oil
  3. 1 tsp.mustard seeds
  4. 1whole dry red chilli, broken (opt)
  5. 1 tsp.urad dal (slit black gram)
  6. 1onion, chopped
  7. 1 tsp.ginger, chopped
  8. 1 sprigcurry leaves
  9. 1/2 cuppeas (I used frozen peas)
  10. 2-3 tbsp.roasted peanuts
  11. to tastesalt
  12. 1 tsp.lime juice
  13. 1 tsp.ghee

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan and temper with mustard seeds and dry red chilies (opt). After it stops spluttering, add the urad dal and saute for a few seconds.

    Add onion, ginger and curry leaves. Saute till light brown.

    ...........semolina. Stir fry till light brown in colour.

    Add water, salt and the roasted peanuts. Simmer till it becomes thick. Add lime juice and ghee. Give it a stir.

    Serve hot with coconut chutney.
