Soak urad dal and rice together for 2-3 hrs. Then make puree of it just little water. Make puree thick like idli batter. Keep it in warm place for over night.

Grease appe mould with oil. Mix appe mixture. Add cumin, salt, ginger garlic and chilli paste in it and mix it. And tsp of ghee. And pour this batter in mould. Cook it till one side gets brown. Turn it over and do ther same.

Serve it with peanut chutney or any kind of chutney.
