Ingredients

  1. 6Thick pork chops bone in or boneless
  2. 1salt and pepper to taste
  3. 1 (12 oz)bottle of beer the darker the better
  4. 1onion diced
  5. 2 tbspflour
  6. 1/4 cuplight brown sugar
  7. 1/3 cupketchup
  8. 2 tspdried thyme leaves
  9. 1bay leaf

Steps

  1. 1

    Put a little cooking oil in the bottom of a skillet.

  2. 2

    Season pork chops with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook pork chops till brown on both sides.

  4. 4

    Remove pork chops from skillet.

  5. 5

    Add diced onion to skillet and cook till translucent.

  6. 6

    Add flour and stir for about 1 minute.

  7. 7

    Meanwhile combine beer, ketchup, thyme, and brown sugar in a bowl.

  8. 8

    Put pork chops back in skillet with onions and pour sauce mixture in and add bay leaf.

  9. 9

    Simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes till sauce thickens. Flip pork chops once while cooking.
