  1. 750 gramsChicken
  2. 12Button Mushrooms
  3. 250 gramsSpinach
  4. 2Onions
  5. 2Tomatoes
  6. 10Garlic Cloves
  7. 2 tbspGrated Ginger
  8. 4Green Chillies
  9. 2Dried Red Chillies
  10. 2Green Cardamoms
  11. 1Black Cardamon
  12. 1 stickCinnamon
  13. 1Bayleaf
  14. 8Pepper corns
  15. 1 tspTurmeric powder
  16. 1Salt to taste
  17. 2 tbspVegetable Oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the onions and tomatoes into thick slices and mushrooms into halves. Chop spinach to match the size.

  2. 2

    Grind ginger, garlic and green chillies together without water.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a wok. Add bay leaf, red chillies and the other spices.

  4. 4

    Add onions. Sauté till onions turn translucent.

  5. 5

    Add chicken. Sauté for 2 minutes on high flame.

  6. 6

    Add to it the ginger-garlic-green chillies mixture, salt and turmeric powder.

  7. 7

    Sauté for 5-7 minutes till the chicken turns golden.

  8. 8

    Add spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms and stir them well.

  9. 9

    Cover and cook on low flame till the chicken is cooked.

  10. 10

    Add a dash of lemon to enhance the flavor.
