Githeri is my favourite kikuyu traditional dish. Its simple to prepare and saves a lot of time.
Steps

Put oil on a clean sufuria and add onions and allow to cook untill golden brown.

Add the ginger n garlic and stir for a while.

Add the tomatoes and allow to cook for about 1 minute. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Add the potatoes, stir very well and allow to cook for 1 minute.

Add the cabbage and stir. Allow to cook for 30 seconds.

Add the githeri and stir. Add 1 cup of water. Allow to cook for 2 minutes.

The food is ready to serve. Garnish with round rings of bananas.
