Ingredients

  1. 1 lbwalleye, pike, perch, or trout fillets
  2. 2 tspbutter, softened
  3. 1 tbsplemon juice
  4. 1 tsplemon pepper
  5. 1/2 tspgarlic salt
  6. 1 3/4 cupsliced fresh mushrooms (optional)
  7. 1 tbspminced fresh basil or 1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried basil

Steps

  1. 1

    Coat an 18 inch square piece of heavy duty foil with cooking spray.

  2. 2

    Place fillets on foil.

  3. 3

    Spread with butter.

  4. 4

    Sprinkle with lemon juice, basil, lemon pepper and garlic salt.

  5. 5

    Top with mushrooms if using.

  6. 6

    Seal foil tightly.

  7. 7

    Grill, covered, over medium hot heat for 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

  8. 8

    Carefully remove foil to allow steam to escape.

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
