Classic hummus (sun dried tomato & pesto)

The leftover bean juice can be used to add moisture. I used 2 tablespoons basil pesto, 1/4 cup Sun dried tomatoes chopped small, throw a handful of garbanzo beans on there and drizzle the Sun dried tomato oil to finish. 😋 I also have a recipe to prepare the garbanzo beans from dried it tastes so much better to use beans that you've cooked yourself.

  1. 15 ozcooked Garbanzo beans
  2. 1 clovegarlic
  3. 5 tablespoonstahini (Sesame seed paste)
  4. 3 tbspolive oil
  5. 1/2Fresh squeezed lemon juice
  6. 1/4 cupjuice from beans (give or take)
  7. dashpepper to taste
  8. 2 tbspsea salt
  9. 1/4 tspground cumin
  10. 2 tbspPrepared pesto
  11. 1/4 cupSun dried tomatoes chopped small

    Put 15 oz beans in blender or food processor

    Add 1 fresh garlic clove

    Add 5 tablespoons of Tahini

    Add lemon juice, salt and pepper, olive oil, cumin, blend until smooth.

    Spread sundried tomatoes around the pesto

    Place in bowl or serving dish serve with pita chips your favorite bread or even put on sandwiches instead of mayo.

    Top off with pesto in center

    I usually drizzle the oil from the Sun Dried Tomato jar and throw a few whole garbanzo beans on top
