Preheat oven to 350°

Mix together 1/4 cup sugar, graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press into 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes then cool completely.

Boil 1 cup of water only for the Jell-O. Add water to Jell-O and stir until dissolved. Set aside and let cool for 15 minutes

In a large bowl, cream together remaining sugar, cream cheese and vanilla.

Add cooled Jell-O to cream cheese mixture and blend well. Add cool whip and blend well. Fold in pineapple.

Spread mixture evenly over cooled crust and chill for 2 hours or until set. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs lightly over dessert for garnish.
