Steps
- 1
In a medium-sized saucepan, mix the dry ingredients, and turn the stovetop to medium-low.
- 2
Add 1/4 cup of the milk, and stir smooth.
- 3
Stir in, bit by bit, more and more of the milk, but only as much at a time as can be added while keeping the liquid silky smooth.
- 4
When all milk is incorporated, add the vanilla.
- 5
Allow the hot cocoa to thicken just a bit, by stirring for about 5-7 more minutes, and then serve with marshmallows.
