Spaghetti Marinara

I picked this trick up pretty recently with the caramelized onion. Immediately became my new spaghetti jam. Lots of butter, but well worth it.
Spaghetti Marinara
I picked this trick up pretty recently with the caramelized onion. Immediately became my new spaghetti jam. Lots of butter, but well worth it.
Steps
- 1
Slice onion finely.
- 2
Heat onion gently with butter in a sauce pot until just beginning to caramelize.
- 3
Add diced tomato. Simmer gently for about 15 minutes.
- 4
Get your pasta cooking.

- 5
Add vinegar to marinara. Continue simmering.
- 6
When the pasta is nearly cooked to your liking, strain it and transfer into the sauce.
- 7
Continue cooking pasta gently in sauce, just until done.
- 8
Season, serve and consume. I tossed some arugula and olive oil on mine, but that's all just decoration really.
