This is another of my mom's recipes that she's made since I was a kid. It's a deliciously creamy and flavorful dish. The lightly crunchy topping just makes this dish!

Ingredients

45 mins
8 servings
  1. 2 canchunk light tuna (drained)
  2. 2 cancream of chicken soup
  3. 1/4 cupmilk
  4. 2 tbspsour cream
  5. 1/2small onion (chopped)
  6. 1/2bell pepper (chopped)
  7. salt
  8. ground black pepper
  9. jalapeño (diced)
  10. 6 cupegg noodles
  11. topping
  12. 3 cupcubed bread
  13. 1 cupshredded chedder cheese
  14. 4 tbspmelted butter

Cooking Instructions

45 mins
  1. 1

Boil your egg noodles or whatever noodles you prefer. I use a mix typically.

  2. 2

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  3. 3

Mix together your tuna (remember to drain it first!), cream of chicken, milk, sour cream, chopped onion and bell pepper, salt, pepper, diced jalapeño and cooked egg noodles in a large bowl.

  4. 4

Add the noodle mixture to a 9x13 pan

  5. 5

Bake the hotdish at 350°F for 15 minutes.

  6. 6

While the hotdish is in the oven mix together in a smaller bowl your cubed bread (just break small dime sized chunks off a few pieces of bread), cheese, and melted butter. Note: I don't measure the bread crumbs, I just make as many as I feel like having on top, you may find you like more or less.

  7. 7

After the hotdish has been in the oven for 15 mins, put the topping on top of the hotdish and return to oven until golden brown or about 15 more minutes.
