Steps

Take flour in a mixing bowl

Add ghee, salt and carom seeds, mix well

Add water little by little and make a stiff dough

Cover and keep aside for 30 minutes

Now divide the dough into equal portions

Roll each portion into a smooth ball

Roll each ball into a little thick disc

Take a cookie cutter and cut it into circles as shown in image

Now make 8 cut impressions as shown in the pic

For petal shape gather and twist the portion at the edge as shown in the image

Apply little water in the center and sprinkle kalonji and press it

Make all the mathris in the same way and prick the mathris with a tooth pick

Heat oil in pan

When it becomes hot, lower the flame to medium

Gently slide in the mathris and fry both sides on medium flame till crispy

Once done drain and remove on absorbent paper

When it becomes cool, store in an air tight container
