My husband's therapy is the ocean. Every chance he gets, he loads his kayak onto his truck, grabs the fishing supplies, and heads out onto the water. This is our favorite recipe to make when crab season opens!

Ingredients

20 mins
  1. 1 loafsourdough bread
  2. 2dungeness crab, picked
  3. 2 tbspbutter
  4. 1 clovegarlic
  5. 1 packagescream cheese
  6. 8 slicecheese (swiss, cheddar, or another favorite)
  7. 1salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

20 mins
  1. 1

    Melt butter in large skillet. Add crab, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook until just warm.

    Toast bread in a toaster or broiler.

  3. 3

    Immediately spread cream cheese on each piece of bread.

  4. 4

    Pile as much crab on each piece as it can hold.

  5. 5

    Place a slice or two of cheese over the crab and put on a cookie sheet.

  6. 6

    Put the sandwiches in the broiler for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Enjoy!
