Ingredients

  1. 1Filet or Ribeye. 1 inch thick. Meat market preferably
  2. 1 tbspkosher salt per side. evenly applied
  3. 1 tspfresh cracked black pepper per side
  4. 1Good Olive Oil brushed on all sides

  1. 1

    The night before you intend to cook the steaks, or at least 4 hours before, brush steaks with olive oil and apply salt and pepper to both sides. Let sit uncovered in the fridge.

  2. 2

    An hour before you intend to grill pull them out and set on the counter to come to room temperature.

  3. 3

    Preheat grill. If charcoal, when the coals are white hot, if gas... cook on high.

  4. 4

    If at least 1 inch thick, and for medium rare, cook 5 minutes per side. Only flip once.

  5. 5

    Remove from grill and let rest covered in foil for at least 10 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve and enjoy.
