Ingredients

  • 8 cupspeeled tomatoes
  • 2.5 cupsonions
  • 1.5 cupsgreen peppers
  • 1jalapeño
  • 6 clovesgarlic
  • 2 teaspoonscumin
  • 2 teaspoonspepper
  • 1/8 cupsalt
  • 1/3 cupsugar
  • 1/3 cupvinegar
  • 1 (15 oz)can tomato sauce
  • 1 (12 oz)can tomato paste

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop vegetables in blender, then bring to a slow boil with the remainder of the ingredients. Simmer for 10 minutes. For mild salsa, omit jalepeno. For hot, add 1 more jalepeno.
