Steps

Wash dal and rice together.

Heat ghee and give tadka of jeera, crushed ginger garlic and hing.

Saute onion in it till light brown. Add all spices and rice mixture and mix it well.

Now add double amount of water of rice and mix it. Add salt and put lid on it. And stir it in between.

Once rice is well cook add ghee from top and serve it.
