Ingredients

  1. 1 cupYellow moong dal / lentil -
  2. 1 cupSugar -
  3. 2 cupMilk -
  4. 1/4 cupCardamom powder -
  5. 1 tbspRaisins -
  6. 1 tbspRoughly chopped cashew nuts -
  7. 3/4 cupClarified butter / ghee -
  8. 1/2 cupWhole dried milk / mawa -

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak yellow moong dal /lentil for 3 - 4 hours.

    Grind coarsely in the blender without water.

    Heat clarified butter / ghee in a non stick pan and add grounded dal in it.

    Stir well continuously and roast till it turns brown and gives out the fragrance

    Add whole dried milk / mawa and mix well.

    Add whole dried milk / mawa and mix well.

    In another pan add milk and sugar

    Once boiled the milk add in the roasted moong dal / lentil.

    Stir continuously cook till thick consistency.

    Add cardamom powder and mix well.

    Garnish with cashew nuts,almonds and raisins..
