Ingredients

  • 1 lbcream cheese
  • 3 tbspbutter
  • 2 largeeggs
  • 1/2 tspground cinnamon
  • 1 tspgrated lemon rind
  • 1/4 cupall purpose flour
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 1/2 cupsugar
  • 1confectioners' sugar

Steps

    Preheat oven to 400 ° F.

  2. 2

    In a large mixing bowl, cream together the cheese, 1 tablespoon butter, and sugar.

  3. 3

    Do not beat.

  4. 4

    Stir in the eggs, 1 at a time, blending well after each addition.

  5. 5

    Add the cinnamon, lemon rind, flour, and salt.

  6. 6

    Mix well.

  7. 7

    Butter the pan with the remaining 2 tablespoons butter, using your fingers to spread the butter completely.

  8. 8

    Pour the mixture into tge, prepared 9 inch springform pan and bake for 12 minutes at 400°.

    Then reduce the temperature to 350° and bake for 25 to 30 additional minutes.

  10. 10

    The knife should come out clean.

  11. 11

    Cool to room temperature, then sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
