One of my favorite simple dishes that my mother taught me in preperation for college and living on my own. This was a recipe that has been passed down from each generation in the same manner and I hope to pass it to my children the summer they attend university.

One of my favorite simple dishes that my mother taught me in preperation for college and living on my own. This was a recipe that has been passed down from each generation in the same manner and I hope to pass it to my children the summer they attend university.
Steps

Season each filet (skin side down) with sea salt, and black pepper. Add other seasonings as you like.

Cover each filet with one tablespoon of lemon juice
- 3
Cover salmon with plastic wrap and refrigerate for fifteen minutes to marinate

Heat large skillet on medium high heat and add butter to melt.

Once butter melts, add salmon fillets (skin down) to skillet spaced evenly.

Add to skillet

Turn heat down medium low; cover skillet with foil and cook for five minutes
- 8
Uncover skillet and turn salmon; cook for five to six minutes.

Remove and plate salmon. Place the juices and cooked garnishes over salmon.
