  • Dragon, Peking style shrimp
  • 6 ozshrimp
  • 1/4 cupHeinz ketchup
  • 1/4 cupgreen peas
  • 1/4 cupchopped celery
  • 1/4 cuponion, chopped
  • 1/4 cupsugar
  • 1/4 cupcider vinegar
  • 1/4 cupwater
  • 2 tbspcornstarch
  • 1 tbspminced garlic
  • 1 tbspsoy sauce
  • 1 tbspShaoxing wine
  • 1/4 tspginger paste
  • 1/4 tspred pepper flakes
  • Phoenix, General Taos chicken
  • 1boneless and skinless chicken breast or thigh
  • 1/4 cupmilk
  • 1/4 cupflour
  • 1 tspcornstarch
  • 1/2 tspwhite pepper
  • 2 tbspShaoxing wine
  • Phoenix sauce
  • 2 tbspChinese black vinegar
  • 3 tbspHeinz ketchup
  • 3 tbspsugar
  • 1 tsphot chili oil
  • 2 tbspwater
  • 2 tspsoy sauce
  • 1/4 tspsesame oil
  • 1 tspminced garlic
  • 1 tbspcornstarch
  • 1/2 tspred pepper flakes or Thai chili pepper dried
  • 1/2 tspwhite pepper
  • 1/4 cupShaoxing wine
  • 1/4 tspginger paste
  • 1/2 tspfinely chopped onion
  • garnish
  • 1/2large naval orange

Steps

    General Taos chicken: cut chicken into bite sized pieces mix everything but milk and flour in the Phoenix chicken ingredients let marinate for 15 minutes.

    Mix flour and milk make a batter. Coat each piece of chicken, and fry. When done set onto paper towels. Then mix your ingredients for Phoenix sauce except cornstarch and water.

    Bring sauce to simmer for 3 minutes now mix the cornstarch and water. Then add to sauce stirring constantly till thickens, add your chicken stir well, coating each piece, and set aside

    Dragon: heat oil add onions and celery cook stirring constantly, for 4 minutes. Now mix all but the green peas shrimp, cornstarch, and water bring to simmer

  5. 5

    Add shrimp stir in, mix water and cornstarch, add peas stir in the cornstarch solution stirring constantly till thickens

    Garnish with orange arranging in the center of two Dragon and Phoenix slice thin and slice each slice in half in center enjoy.
