Ingredients

  1. 1/2 lbUncooked egg noodles (8 ounces)
  2. 1/2 cupButter
  3. 1 mediumHead of cabbage, roughly chopped
  4. 1 largeOnion, roughly chopped
  5. 1Salt and pepper to taste
  6. 2 tspSugar, helps it carmalize a bit.

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil pot of water add noodles and cook for about 8 minutes. Drain.

  2. 2

    Melt butter in skillet on medium heat.

  3. 3

    Add your cabbage and onion to your skillet

  4. 4

    Brown cabbage and onions until tender. Add the sugar and salt and pepper to taste. Cook on medium until a nice golden color. About 30 minutes!

  5. 5

    Add your egg noodles and brown about 15 minutes. Note: This is great if not better refried the next day with a bit of extra butter!

  6. 6

    Enjoy!!!
