Ingredients

  1. 1 lb.Sirloin Steak, sliced against the grain
  2. 2 tbsp.vegetable oil
  3. 2 tbsp.Corn starch
  4. 1 tbsp.sesame oil
  5. 3garlic cloves, minced
  6. 1 tsp.minced ginger
  7. 1/2 c.soy sauce
  8. 1/4 c.brown sugar
  9. 1 c.chicken broth
  10. 1 pinchred pepper flakes
  11. 1large head of broccoli, cut into florets
  12. 1carrot, peeled and cut into matchsticks
  13. 3pkgs. instant Ramen noodles (discard the flavor packs)
  14. 3green onions, thinly sliced
  15. Toasted sesame seed (optional)

Steps

    Cook Ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat vegetable oil. Toss in beef coated with corn starch. Cook for about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate

  3. 3

    Reduce heat to medium-low. Add sesame oil to skillet and stir in garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute then add soy sauce, brown sugar and chicken broth. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until the sauce is thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes.

    Add broccoli and carrots then cover skillet with a tightly fitting lid and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 to 6 minutes.

    Return beef to skillet and stir until completely coated in sauce. Stir in cooked Ramen noodles and green onions. Garnish with toasted sesame seed if desired. Enjoy!
