A very simple recipe, tastes same like the ones you get at restaurants.

Cut the coconut into rough slices and put in a grinder.

Add roasted chana dal, green chillies, jeera. Grind.

Add salt and sugar. Grind this to get a fine mixture.

Add little water and grind again.

Grind by adding more water to get chutney like consistency. Take out in a bowl.

Heat oil. Add rai and let it crackle. Add curry leaves.

Spread this over ready chutney.

Serve with idli, medu vada, dosa, appam or sabudana vada.
