Ingredients

45 minutes
3 serves
  • 400 gflour
  • enough oil for frying
  • 1 tbspbaking powder
  • 50 gbutter
  • 3eggs
  • 2 tbsplemon rinds
  • 50 gsugar

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix all the dry ingredients together, also add in lemon rinds. Then add in the butter and stir really well to form sand like flour crumbs.

  2. 2

    Break the eggs in a bowl and add to the dry ingrdients. Add in warm water little by little until you onbtain a soft dough that does not stick on your hands.

  3. 3

    Then allow the dough to rest for 15 minutes. While the dough is resting, prepare oil for frying and heat it until hot.

  4. 4

    Afterwards take the mandazi dough and roll into 0.5 inches thick

  5. 5

    Cut them into desired sizes. I choose triangle.Then fry them in oil until golden brown in each side.

  6. 6

    Serve.
