First, grind the cinnamon sticks.

Sift the flour and yeast together.

Mix the ground cinnamon with the sugar and set aside in a container.

Blend the hot milk with the two sticks of butter until you get a frothy consistency.

Pour the flour and yeast into a bowl, then gradually mix in the milk and butter mixture.

Knead until everything is well combined and the dough no longer sticks to your hands.

Once the dough is ready, let it rest for one hour.

After resting, use a rolling pin to flatten the dough and shape it as desired.

Pour about 3/4 cup (200 ml) of oil into a skillet and heat over medium so it doesn't burn. Once hot, fry the buñuelos until golden on both sides.

Remove from the oil and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture on a plate.
