Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1cupBasmati rice, overcooked -
  2. 2 and half cupsMilk -
  3. half cupSugar - (as per your taste)
  4. 2 spoonCustard powder -
  5. half spoonElaichi powder -
  6. 1spoonGhee -
  7. Badam and pistachios crushed -for garnish

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil 2 cups of milk.

  2. 2

    When the milk is boiled, add the overcooked basmati rice and stir continuosly for 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    To this, add sugar and elaichi powder.

  4. 4

    To the rest half cup of milk, mix the custard powder and add it to the kheer and stir it for 5 minutes. And add little ghee to it.

  5. 5

    You can either serve it warm with the crushed badam and pistachios as garnish. Or freeze it for an hour or two and serve it as pudding.

  6. 6

    Both tastes yummy....!!!
