  • 2bay leaves
  • 1 pinchof salt
  • 1 smallbunch of parsley
  • 12black peppercorns
  • 2 smallonions
  • 2 smallcarrots, split length ways
  • 4chicken

Steps

  1. 1

    Place the chicken and other ingredients in a saucepan with 2 pints of cold water, cover and bring to a boil.

  2. 2

    Simmer briskly for 1 hour, then strain the stock.
