Steps

Wash and soak moong dal for 4 hours.

Drain out the water and grind it in a mixer.

Heat ghee in a pan on medium flame and add ground moong dal.
Saute till it turns to golden brown in colour. - 4
Add sugar and water in a pan and make 1 and 1/2 string (taar) sugar syrup.
Add moong dal to the syrup and mix well. - 5
Take the mixture in a greased plate and let the barfi cool and cut the piece.ready
