Ingredients

  1. 1 cupMoong dal/ gram lentils
  2. 2/3 cupGhee -
  3. 2/3 cupSugar/ cheeni -
  4. 2/3 cupWater/ pani -
  5. 2 tablespoonsChopped dryfruits -

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak moong dal for 4 hours.

  2. 2

    Drain out the water and grind it in a mixer.

  3. 3

    Heat ghee in a pan on medium flame and add ground moong dal.
    Saute till it turns to golden brown in colour.

  4. 4

    Add sugar and water in a pan and make 1 and 1/2 string (taar) sugar syrup.
    Add moong dal to the syrup and mix well.

  5. 5

    Take the mixture in a greased plate and let the barfi cool and cut the piece.ready
