Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 3 glassmaida
  2. For the bhaturas:
  3. 3 glasscurd
  4. 3 tbspsSooji
  5. 2 tbspsoil
  6. 2 tbspssugar
  7. 2 tbspsbaking powder
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. For the chole:
  10. 1/2 kgWhite kabuli Chana
  11. 4Onion
  12. 4Green chillies
  13. 2Tomato
  14. 2 tbspsGinger garlic paste
  15. as requiredWater for consistency
  16. Masalas :
  17. 3 tbspChole masala
  18. 2 tbspsRed chilli powder
  19. 1 tspturmeric
  20. 1 tbspDhania jeera powder
  21. to tasteSalt
  22. For garnish:
  23. 1big bunch Coriander chopped
  24. 3sliced Onions
  25. as neededLemon wedges
  26. as neededOil for deep frying
  27. 2 tspMustard seeds

Steps

    Mix maida with all ingredients mentioned. Mix slowly with required curd.

    Cover with wet cloth and let it rest for 2 hours.

  3. 3

    Meanwhile make the chole masala

  4. 4

    Keep soaked chole(chole soaked overnight) ready for use. Pressure cook till half done. Strain and keep aside.

  5. 5

    Add oil to a deep pan. Add mustard seeds. Let it splutter. Add the chopped onions. Saute.

  6. 6

    Add ginger garlic paste. Saute. Add the chopped tomatoes. Add all spices. Saute. Cover and cook till mushy.

  7. 7

    Open add the washed and cooked kabuli Chana. Mix, add required water, cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles.

  8. 8

    Keep oil for deep frying. Pinch small balls from the dough and flatten in palm. Deep fry slowly in medium hot oil

  9. 9

    Serve with hot chole and garnish with coriander, onion and lemon wedges.
