Ingredients

  • 1 cupWheat flour (atta)
  • 2 tbspSemolina (Sooji)
  • 1/2 cupAll purpose flour
  • 1/2 cupPeas purée
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tspSesame seeds
  • 2 tspAjwain
  • 2 tspUnsalted butter
  • 1 tspClarified butter (ghee)
  • 2 tspMilk
  • Cookie cutter....I have used star and leaf shaped cutter (you can use any)

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven to 180c/fan 160c/gas5.

  2. 2

    Mix all the ingredients together except sesame seeds in a mixing bowl using your hands until a dough is formed.

  3. 3

    Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5mm.

  4. 4

    Apply little water and sprinkle sesame seeds on the flat dough.

  5. 5

    Then use a cutter to cut out the biscuits.

  6. 6

    Place the biscuits onto a floured baking tray and bake in the oven for 10-15minutesor until golden brown and crispy.
