450 gramsrolled oats
150 gramsgranulated sugar
150 gramsgolden syrup
200 gramsmargarine

Preheat oven to 180°C (10° less for fan oven)

Melt sugar, syrup and margarine in microwave or pan until sugar has dissolved try not to boil it!

Add oats to melted liquid and mix well

Turn into greased 8x12 inch tin and press down til firm and level

Bake for 25 - 30 mins or until golden
6

Allow to cool for 5 mins then cut into desired squares
7

Allow to cool further before tipping onto cooling rack
