Ingredients

  • 500 gramschicken thigh fillets,cut into 2cm strips
  • 1/4 cupcornstarch
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1vegetable oil
  • For the sauce:
  • 1/4 cuphoney
  • 1 tbspoyster sauce
  • 1 tbspsoy sauce
  • 2 1/2 tbspsoy sauce
  • 1 tspgrated ginger
  • 1 tspminced garlic
  • 1 tspcornstarch
  • 1/4 cupwater

Steps

    In a bowl,whisk together cornstarch and salt. Add the chicken and toss well to coat chicken pieces evenly.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, taking care not to overcrowd the pan. Do this in batches if necessary. Fry thw chicken pieces until cooked through. Once cooked removed the chicken and transfer into a platter and set aside.

    While frying, whisk together the ingredients for the sauce(except for the lemon slices).

  4. 4

    Place the sauce mixture into a skillet over a medium heat. Cook the sauce,whisking constantly until thickened. Add the lemon slices and cook further for about 1 to 2 minutes. Set aside.
