Ingredients

  1. 2 cupbasil leaves, packed
  2. 2 clovegarlic
  3. 1/4 cuppine nuts (toast if desired)
  4. 1/2 tspsalt, or to taste
  5. 1/2 cupolive oil, extra virgin
  6. 1lemon juice (1 squeeze or squirt)
  7. 1/2 cupgrated pecorino or parmigiano cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Combine the basil, garlic, and pine nuts in a food processor or ninja and pulse until coarsely chopped.

    Add 1/2 cup of olive oil and process until fully incorporated.

    Season with salt and pepper. Add squeeze of lemon juice and process till desired consistency, fairly smooth.

    Transfer to serving bowl and mix in the cheese.

    To use with pasta, put in pot after pasta is in colander draining over medium heat and stir constant till just warmed up. Add drained pasta, mix well and serve.
