Ingredients

  1. 2 lbCubed. chicken Breast or Tofu
  2. 1 cupstring sliced white onion
  3. 2 tbspcoconut oil
  4. 1/2 tspTurmeric
  5. 1 tspCumin
  6. 2 tspCoriander powder
  7. 1/2 tspRed Chili Powder
  8. 11 inch pieces ginger root
  9. 2green chillies
  10. 2 clovegarlic
  11. 1 cupcubed to fresh tomatoes
  12. 1 tbsppoppy seed paste
  13. 2 cupthin coconut milk
  14. 1 cupthick coconut milk

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    heat oil in wide pan and add the sliced onion. Fry until golden brown.

  2. 2

    grind green chilies, garlic and ginger together coarsly.

  3. 3

    Add the spice powders chili, coriander, cumin and tumeric to the fried onions. saute for 20 seconds.

  4. 4

    add ground chili paste and tomatoes to pan. Fry for a minute.

  5. 5

    Add chicken or Tofu.

  6. 6

    Add thin coconut milk. Bring to boil.

  7. 7

    Add poppyseed paste. lower heat. Cook for 15-20 minutes.

  8. 8

    on low heat add the thick coconut milk. Remove from heat and serve.
