heat oil in wide pan and add the sliced onion. Fry until golden brown.

grind green chilies, garlic and ginger together coarsly.

Add the spice powders chili, coriander, cumin and tumeric to the fried onions. saute for 20 seconds.

add ground chili paste and tomatoes to pan. Fry for a minute.

Add chicken or Tofu.

Add thin coconut milk. Bring to boil.

Add poppyseed paste. lower heat. Cook for 15-20 minutes.

on low heat add the thick coconut milk. Remove from heat and serve.
