Ingredients

  1. 2 cupPeas / matar -
  2. 2Chopped potato -
  3. 1Chopped onion -
  4. 1 tspChopped ginger garlic -
  5. 1/2 cupTomato puree -
  6. 1 tspCoriander powder -
  7. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder -
  8. 1 tspRed chilli powder -
  9. 2-3Cardamom -
  10. Cloves- 2
  11. Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  12. 1/4 tspCumin seeds -
  13. to tasteSalt -
  14. 1 pinchAsafoetida / hing -
  15. 4 tbspOil -
  16. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tsp

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    In a blender add one cup peas / matar and make a paste.

    Other cup of mator ground coarsely.

    In a blender add ginger garlic,cloves,cardamom and cinnamon. to make a paste.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in a pan.

  5. 5

    Add potato and fry till brown and strain it.

  6. 6

    Again heat oil and add peas and fry and strain it.

  7. 7

    Add asafoetida,cumin seeds to crackle.

  8. 8

    Add onion and saute for 2 - 3 mins.

  9. 9

    Add ginger garlic paste,tomato puree and dry ingredients and salt.

  10. 10

    Saute for 4 - 5 mins in a low flame.

  11. 11

    Add peas and potato and one cup of water and cook 15 mins in a low flame.

  12. 12

    Garnish with coriander leaves and serve
