Ingredients

  1. 2 cupmatar
  2. 2 cupMakhana(puffed lotus seed)
  3. 1Onion
  4. 2Tomato pureed
  5. 1 inchGinger finely chopped
  6. 5-6Garlic, cloves finely chopped
  7. 1/2 tspCumin seed
  8. 1 pinchasafoetida
  9. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  10. 1 tspRed Chilli powder
  11. 1 tspcoriander powder
  12. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  13. 1 tspkasuri methi
  14. 2 tspmalai/cream
  15. 1-2bay leaf
  16. 4-5black pepper
  17. 1 tbspyoghurt
  18. Salt to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a kadhai and roast makhana in it till it becomes golden brown and crispy

  2. 2

    In the same pan again heat oil and add bay leaf asafotida,cumin seed,black pepper in it

  3. 3

    Add ginger,garlic and saute for 3-4 minutes now add onion paste mix well and saute for on medium flame

  4. 4

    Now add tomato puree mix well

  5. 5

    Add turmeric,red chilli and coriander powder mix well add cream and
    ‎ kasuri methi, green peas and yogart mix well cook for 7-8minute on low flame till peas are soft

  6. 6

    Now add makhana mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes now add garam masala mix well

  7. 7

    Matar makhana is ready
