Finger millet banana walnut cake is healthy and gluten free cake. Finger millet has lot of nutritious values, like wise walnuts has good fatty acids, full of omega 3. Ingredients

  • 1 Cupfinger millet flour(ragi)
  • 1/2 cupoats flour
  • 1banana
  • 1/4 cupjaggery(or to taste)
  • 3/4 cupoil
  • 1/2 tea spoonbaking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cupwalnuts
  • 1 TBScoco powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Press heat the oven

  2. 2

    Roast oats and make powder

  3. 3

    Seive ragi with oats baking powder and baking soda.

  4. 4

    In a bowl mash banana

  5. 5

    Add oil and beat till fluffy

  6. 6

    Add jaggery and beat again

  7. 7

    Now add flour little by little mix by cut and fold method

    Add chopped walnuts and vanilla essence

    Gently mix

  10. 10

    Transfer the mixture to greesed cake mould

    Tap the mould on working surface to realise the air

  12. 12

    Keep it in oven to bake at 180 for 35-40 mins.

    Check with tooth pick.

  14. 14

    If done leave it on rack only

    Once cool down take out and cut into desired shape and enjoy with loved ones.
