Ingredients

  1. 2 cupall purpose flour
  2. 1 cupfirmly packed brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cupbutter softened
  4. 1 cuppecan halves
  5. 2/3 cupsalted butter
  6. 1/2 cupfirmly packed brown sugar
  7. 1 cupreal semi sweet chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

    present oven to 350.

    combine flour, 1 c firmly packed brown sugar, 1/2 c salted butter softened in large bowl.

    beat at medium speed until mixture resembles fine crumbs. press into bottom of ungreased 13X9 inch baking pan. place pecan evenly over unbaked crust.

    combine 2/3 c butter and 1/2 c brown sugar in 1 -quart sauce pan. cook over medium heat stirring constantly until entire surface of mixture begins to boil.

    continue cooking stirring constantly for 1 minute.

    pour mixture over pecan and crust.

    bike for 18-22 minutes or until entire carmel layer is bubbly. you have to watch it closely basking too long will cause it to be very hard.

    remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips allowing them yo melt slightly.

    swirl melted chips over bars leaving some whole if you like.

    cool completely

    cut into bars. 36 bars
