Cooking Instructions

In large bowl sprinkle yeast over warm water.

Let sit 5 minutes

Add honey, eggs, oil and salt, beat to combine

Add flour 1 cup at a time beating after each addition.

As dough becomes stiff transfer onto a floured surface, and knead. continue adding flour until dough is elastic and no longer sticky

Cover with damp cloth and let rise for 1 1/2 hours, or until dough has doubled in bulk.

Punch down dough and tranfer to floured surface, kneading in flour if sticky

Divide in half, and then each half into thirds.

Roll each section into long snakes and braid
- 10
Cover with egg wash and bake at 375° for 40 minutes

And I think that's why the loaves didn't really have a true braided definition like you would expect from a challah. Probably should have used a bit more flour as well.
