Daal Makhni (Butter Black Lentil)
Most satisfying meal. It's probably one of the very few meals which will please even the hardcore meat lovers.
Cooking Instructions

Put the Black Urad Daal along with 3 cups of water into a Pressure Cooker along with the Spice Pouch and half of the mentioned Salt. Cook for 4 to 5 whistles or until Daal is mushy. Strain and Mash the Daal.

Put 3/4th of the mentioned butter in a pan and add in Cumin seeds and cook for 30 seconds.

Add the Chopped Onions and cook for 2 minutes.

Add Ginger Paste and Garlic Paste and cook for another minute.

Add Chopped Green Chillies and cook for another minute.

Add Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder, Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, remaining Salt(according to taste) and Pepper and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the Tomato Puree and cook till pulp is formed(Around 2 minutes).

Add in the mashed Black Urad Daal and mix. Add water if it is too thick and cook for 15 minutes in low heat.

Add in the Cream and cook for a minute more.

Add in the Chopped Coriander Leaves and mix. Take off heat.

Add the remaining Butter and free Leaves of Coriander as garnish.

Serve with Steamed Rice or preferably Jeera(Cumin) Rice.
