Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbutter
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1 cupBrown sugar
  4. 2eggs
  5. 1 tspvanilla
  6. 1 1/2 cupflour
  7. 1 tspcream of tartar
  8. 1 tspbaking soda
  9. 1 tspsalt
  10. 3 cupOatmeal
  11. 1 cupchopped nuts (I use pecans)

Steps

  1. 1

    pre-heat oven to 350

  2. 2

    cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy

  3. 3

    blend in eggs and vanilla

  4. 4

    add flour. cream of tartar. soda and salt, mix well.

  5. 5

    stir in oatmeal and nuts and optional butterscotch chips.

  6. 6

    scoop by tablespoon and roll into ball and place on cookie sheet.

  7. 7

    bake 10-12 minutes...shorter for chewier cookie and longer for crispy cookie.
