Do you love spicy food? Do you have a bunch of red and green peppers sitting idly in your pantry? Worry no more!
Steps
- 1
Get your ingredients ready
- 2
If your pepper is dry, soak it in some water. If it fresh, blend it with a little water. Mine was dry
- 3
Put everything in a saucepan... Add some water, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger
- 4
Let it simmer for a while before adding your tomato, tomato paste, some oil, and salt
- 5
Let that cook for about 15 minutes
- 6
Remove from heat and strain your mixture
- 7
It should look like this. Store in an airtight container
- 8
When cooking, add the sauce after sauteing your onions. You can use it to flavor your kachumbari too.
