My mom made this cake at least once a month, so it seems.

Mix dry ingredients then add wet ingredients. Mix all together.

Poor into cookie sheet with edges (or casserole dish if preferred).

Bake for 30 minutes at 350°. Let cool before adding frosting.

Frosting: melt butter then add ingredients in sauce pan and heat to rolling boil. Stir one minute in one direction.

Remove from heat and continue stirring while it cools down (place pot in ice water for faster results). Stir until frosting until it thickens-usually about 20 minutes.

Pour and spread on cool cake. Let cool 20-30 minutes.
