Also known as “Bar O Frosting”. My little brother Jerry got into trouble with the law and spent some time in a “boys ranch”, known as Bar O Boys Ranch. Mom would go to visit him and on occasion there would be a celebration complete with cake.
She was able to extract the from the cook and it soon became a “pantry”favorite at our house. It is light and fluffy and not too sweet. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  1. 5 Tablespoonsflour
  2. 1 Cupmilk
  3. 1 Cupsugar
  4. 1 Cupbutter
  5. 1 teaspoonvanilla

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Dissolve flour and milk and cook until thickened. Cover and cool.

    Cream; sugar and butter. Beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla.

  3. 3

    Add cooled flour mixture and beat until light and fluffy, at least 5 minutes.
