Ingredients

  1. 1 cupcoarse bulgur (about 180 grams)
  2. 1small onion, finely chopped
  3. Olive oil
  4. 2tomatoes, finely chopped
  5. 1green bell pepper and 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  6. 1 teaspoontomato paste
  7. 2 tablespoonsred pepper paste
  8. 1bouillon cube
  9. 1 1/2 cupshot water (about 355 ml)

Steps

  1. 1

    Sauté the onion in olive oil until soft, then add the bulgur and cook for a few minutes. Set aside.

  2. 2

    In the same pot, add more olive oil and sauté the red and green bell peppers with the red pepper paste and tomato paste. Add the tomatoes and bouillon cube, and stir well.

  3. 3

    Add the sautéed bulgur and onions back to the pot along with the hot water and a little more olive oil. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the bulgur is tender.
