Morola Begun

This is one of the favourite dish of mine and Babai(Papa). #Morola_Begun was made by my father when I was a chotu kid. It is made up of very small fish ( size is approximately like a little finger). It is made up of lots of onion tomato and spices.

Steps

Wash thoroughly and marinate the fish with some turmeric and salt. Keep it aside for like 10 minutes and then fry them lightly in medium hot oil. Don;t fry it till brown or else it won’t taste good.

Now heat some more oil in the same pan. Add onion seeds, green Chilli, curry leaves and let them crackle in medium hot oil.

Once it stop crackling add the onion and fry them till transparent. Now add the tomatoes, grated ginger and some salt.

When the tomatoes become mushy add the brinjal pieces and fry them in medium to high heat. You can cover it also but stir occasionally.

Now add all the spices into it. Like turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, Kashmiri Mirch, and remaining salt. Mix all the ingredients well. Cook in medium heat till u get a nice aroma of the masalas.

Now after cooking it for like 4-5 minutes add 2 cup water. Give it a good stir, cover it and cook till the brinjal are cooked and you get the desired consistency.

Now when the brinjal are cooked add the fish pieces. Mix gently. And let it boil for 2 minutes
